A website that tries to serve every visitor in every way usually serves nobody well. Before design or code starts, decide what one action matters most.
Pick one primary action
It might be a quote request, a booking, a phone call or a sign-up. Every page should either lead towards that action or support it.
Make the path obvious
- Put the main call to action above the fold.
- Repeat it after each major section.
- Remove links that lead visitors away from the goal.
Measure it
If you cannot say how many people completed the action last month, you cannot improve it. Set up simple tracking from day one.
A clear goal also keeps the project scope honest: features that do not serve the goal can wait.
